Contact Music has confirmed that Lindsay Lohan is going to replace model Gisele Bundchen as the new face of Louis Vuitton. Mark Jacobs, who is the labels top designer, asked her to pose for the Autumn/winter 2006-2007 collection. This has caused some controversy in the fashion industry, because some believe she isn't sophisticated enough.A source tells Us Weekly, "She just got asked to be in the ads. She's going to say yes." Lohan is a long-time fan of the company and is "extremely excited" according to the source.
This seems a little weird because Louis Vuitton was saying a few months ago that they wouldn't use Lindsay. I don't get this whole sophisticated thing. The fashion business is all about money, it's not about sophistication. I highly doubt they will lose money because their model wasn't sophisticated enough. Whatever money they lose to the old women they will make up with the young.
